He was a direct descendant of Hazrat Imam Hussain R.A, the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and carried the spiritual light of the Ahl al-Bayt to the Deccan region. He traveled from his ancestral homeland to the town of Gogi in northern Karnataka, where he established a center of Islamic spirituality and learning that transformed the spiritual landscape of the entire region.
He was known for his deep spirituality, his miraculous powers (karamaat), and his extraordinary ability to guide seekers on the path of spiritual purification.
