عرس سید شاہ عبدالقادر قادری (بالکیپیر، بیجاپور)

Hazrat Peer Syed Shah Abdul Qader Qadri R.H was a distinguished saint of the Qadiri Sufi order and a direct descendant of Hazrat Ghous-e-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani R.H, the founder of the Qadiriyya — the most widespread Sufi order in the world. He was born into a family of scholars and saints who had preserved the spiritual legacy of the Qadiri silsila for generations, carrying the light of guidance from Baghdad to the Indian subcontinent. From a young age, he displayed extraordinary piety and devotion, memorizing the Holy Quran and mastering the Islamic sciences under the tutelage of the leading scholars of his time.

He dedicated his entire life to spreading the teachings of Islam, the love of the Prophet ﷺ, and the spiritual practices of the Qadiri tariqah (path). His khanqah (spiritual lodge) became a beacon of guidance for seekers from all walks of life, where he would conduct sessions of Dhikr, teach the Quran, and provide spiritual counsel. He was known for his generosity to the poor, his humility before all people, and his unwavering adherence to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ in every aspect of his life.

His spiritual influence extended across the region, and many scholars and saints received their spiritual training and authorization (ijazah) from him. He emphasized the importance of combining outward Sharia observance with inner spiritual purification — the hallmark of the authentic Qadiri tradition. His annual Urs on the 1st of Rajab is observed with great reverence, featuring Quran recitation, Fatiha, Naat recitals, and gatherings of Dhikr and remembrance where devotees gather to honor his blessed memory and seek spiritual blessings.
