विसाल हज़रत मीर सैयद हफीज़ुल्लाह इंद्राबी कश्मीर

Hazrat Meer Syed Hafeezullah Indrabi R.H was a distinguished scholar, spiritual guide, and revered personality of Kashmir — the beautiful valley that has been blessed with a rich tradition of Islamic scholarship and Sufi spirituality since the 14th century. He was a descendant of the noble Sayyid lineage and was raised in the scholarly environment of the Kashmir Valley, where he received his education in the Islamic sciences from the leading scholars of the region. He mastered the disciplines of Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir, and Arabic literature, and was recognized as one of the most learned scholars of his generation in Kashmir.

He was known for his deep knowledge of Islamic sciences, his powerful lectures that would illuminate complex theological matters for common people, and his unwavering commitment to the Ahl-e-Sunnat creed. His service to the Muslim community of the Kashmir Valley was immense — he provided religious guidance, resolved disputes, and worked tirelessly to strengthen Islamic education in the region. He was known for his piety, spending long hours in worship and contemplation, and his deep concern for the spiritual welfare of the Kashmiri Muslim community.

He played an important role in preserving the Islamic scholarly tradition of Kashmir during challenging times, ensuring that authentic knowledge continued to be transmitted to the next generation. His character was marked by humility, generosity, and a deep love for the Prophet ﷺ that inspired all who came into his company. His Wisaal on the 24th of Sha'ban is commemorated with Fatiha, Quran recitation, and scholarly gatherings by the Muslim community of Kashmir who honor his memory and pray for his spiritual elevation.
