विसाल हज़रत मौलाना सैयद शाहिद अली रज़वी रामपुर

Hazrat Moulana Syed Shahed Ali Razvi R.H was a prominent scholar, spiritual guide, and leading personality of the Ahl-e-Sunnat tradition from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh — a city renowned for its rich Islamic heritage, its historic Raza Library, and its tradition of producing distinguished scholars and poets. He was a descendant of the noble Sayyid lineage and was raised in an environment steeped in Islamic learning and spiritual practice from his earliest years. He received his education in the Islamic sciences from the leading scholars of his era, mastering Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir, Arabic grammar, and the spiritual sciences of Tasawwuf.

Rampur has been a historic center of Islamic learning in India since the time of the Nawabs, and Moulana Razvi R.H contributed significantly to maintaining and strengthening this scholarly heritage during his lifetime. He was known for his deep knowledge of Islamic sciences, his powerful lectures that would move audiences to tears, and his unwavering devotion to the Ahl-e-Sunnat creed. He trained numerous students in the Islamic sciences, many of whom went on to become scholars and spiritual guides in their own right.

His character was marked by humility, generosity, and a deep concern for the spiritual welfare of the Muslim community, particularly the youth. He authored several works on matters of faith and practice that continue to benefit students of knowledge to this day. His Wisaal on the 21st of Rajab is commemorated with Fatiha, Quran recitation, scholarly gatherings, and Naat recitals by his followers and the Muslim community of Rampur who continue to honor his blessed memory.
